Dal Makhani Recipe

We all love dal, especially if we are vegan. Dal is a dish that you can find in every Indian home. I bet even today there will be a dal in today’s menu for lunch.
If you feel like getting bore with your plain old dal then this recipe will cheer you up. Dal Makhani is one of the most popular dishes in North India, especially among Punjabi people. Dal Makhani is a special dish for special occasions. So if you want to make your day special and want to prepare this creamy dal. Get ready your apron and let’s begin the Dal Makhani Recipe.
Ingredients of Dal Makhani:
- Black gram Dal (black urad dal)2 cup
- Rajma bean one and a half cup
- Cumin 1 tbsp
- Tomato paste 2 nos
- Chopped onion 2
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
- Kashmiri Lal Mirch 2 tbsp
- Coriander powder 2tbsp
- Garam masala 1tbsp
- Butter 2tbsp
- Fresh cream
Step 1: Black gram dal and rajma bean together wash it for at least 5 times properly.
Step 2: Soak it in fresh water for 6 to 7 hours
Step 3: After that drain it properly.
Step 4: Set a cooker on medium flame, add soaked Dal then add four glass of water (depends)
Step 5: Add salt and turmeric powder mixes well cook on medium flame till 6 to 7 whistle.
Step 6: Now switch off the flame and wait for the left cooker naturally to open the lid.
Step 7: Check the Dal completely cooked or not then mashed it, not fully, and keep aside
Step 8: Take a kadhai on medium flame add 3 tbsp butter, ghee or refined oil then add cumin and ginger garlic paste, mix well then add Kashmiri Lal Mirch for beautiful color.
Step 9: Now add tomato puree mix well, then add coriander powder, pepper, and garam masala, cook until oil releases.
Step 10: After that add the cooked Dal and keep stirring, you can add hot water to maintain the consistency.
Cook at least for 10 min.
Step 11: Now add butter and fresh cream for delicious flavor and little chopped coriander for aromatic.
Dal makhani is ready to serve.
