Recipe of Phirni. Phirni is a type of pudding, an Indian Dessert made with boiled milk, sugar, and rice. A very simple and delicious dish with some simple ingredients.

Today we are sharing with you our mouth drooling dessert recipe. And we hope you will love it.

  • Basmati rice: 1/4 cup
  • Full-fat milk: 1 liter
  • Ghee: 1 tsp
  • Condensed milk or Khao
  • Chopped cashew and sliced Badam (Almond)
  • Sugar: 1 cup
  • Saffron milk for color and flavor.
  • Cardamon powder: 1 tsp

Lets Begin 

Step 1: Take a bowl and soak basmati rice for about 15 mins.

Step 2 Wash the rice after 20 mins.

Step 3: Now strain the rice and spread to dry below fan or sun. 

Step 4: Grind the rice to a coarse mixture. 

Step 4: take one-cup milk ( room temperature) then add it to the rice mixture. 

Step 6: Mix the Rice flour in some cold milk before it to hot milk. 

Note: It will prevent the rice from clumping. 

Step 7: Now heat a pan with some ghee then add milk and boil it. 

Step 8: Stir the rice flour and cold milk mixture for the last time before adding to the pan. 

Step 9: Add the mixture to boiled milk, mix well continuously. 

Step 10: Once the rice is cooked add some condensed milk and sugar. 

Step 11: Add saffron milk and cardamom powder. 

Step 12: Saute well and simmer on low flame for 2 to 5 mins. 

Step 13: Add chopped cashew and sliced badam. 

Note: Phirni needs to be set about 20 min before it is served.
